This talk follows from from the \"When to use Oracle In-Memory\" talk. Oracle has built a set of columnar technologies that are designed to keep the benefits of columnar processing as data gets older and colder and automation for moving data between these storage technologies at the most appropriate time. This talk will look at how Oracle In-Memory can overflow to columnar on flash, to hybrid columnar compression, and support for columnar data using Big Data SQL and how each of these fit into the information lifecycle: when to use them, when to move data between them, and how to determine which is the best for each use case. Finally we will show practically how to use the tools Oracle provided to help with these decision.
